My former mare Cali who I showed for many years had to be put down last week due to severe colic. Her new owners Lynne Endress and her daughter Emily are very sad and will miss her very much. They both showed her recently with Emily placing very well in lead line and Lynne in the adult classes. Lynne was also high point adult at the show. Cali and Lynne placed 1sts and 2nds at the appaloosa show in Maine in August with a beautiful equitation patter. Cali was instrumental in my non pro supreme award as I earned almost all my showmanship points on her. She was the most affectionate horse I have ever known

Janet Murray of Hampstead, NH is pleased to announce that her world champion gelding M I Everanexample has done it again. Rudy was the top point earner in Senior Hunter Hack for 2009. Rudy won three world championships in 2008 as well as champion English horse and English exhibitor. Janet showed Rudy herself in many of the hunter hack classes with Janna Flynn of Lanes End Farm in Danvers also contributing to the win. Janet and Rudy finished second in the nation for non-pro hunter hack, masters hunter under saddle and masters hunt seat equitation. The pair was also in the top ten in several other non pro classes and senior hunter under saddle as well. The bronze medallion for Senior Hunter Hack will be presented at the annual awards banquet in MI in July.
In addition M I Everanexample finished first in his division for the Appaloosa Horse Club color breed incentive program. They bested the second place horse by a wide margin. The program was initiated in 2008 and awarded $46,500 to the top three horses in each of 19 divisions in the country. Points are awarded for open classes and the horse must earn at least one point in both halter and performance classes. Rudy was second for 2008 as well. The award includes a photo and profile in the Appaloosa Journal. Only horses with regular papers can participate in the program. Janet has set her sights on regional medal classes on the hunter circuit for 2010 under the guidance of Janna Flynn.
